Social Intervention Services - Weekend with Girls in Cameroon
JLU in coloration with the Women Empowerment Center – Cameroon executed a transformative weekend discussing mental health and wellness with girls in Cameroon, emphasizing the importance of self-care and resilience. The program ran from the 18th July – 12 August 2023. We reached a total number of 43 children from 3-20 years in 3 different units that is Catering and Hotel Management, Computer Studies, Sewing and interior Decoration.

In June, 2023, JLU Partnered with Cameroon’s Ministry of Women Empowerment(MINPROF) to implement a capacity building program for young women. Educating young is key to developing conscientious citizens. The program focused on capacity building and mindset change through business and life skills training. The team equally created a platform for constructive dialogues, group dynamics, mentoring and coaching, meant to empower the girls by giving them a voice and power to disengage from certain stereotypes.
